They are now looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join their growing team in the Midwest region.
Position Summary
As a Flexible & Pressure-Sensitive Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and managing existing client relationships for their flexible and pressure-sensitive product lines. This position requires a highly motivated, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can navigate complex sales cycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging, a keen understanding of customer needs, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Midwest region, with a focus on flexible and pressure-sensitive packaging solutions.
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Consultative Selling: Work closely with customers to understand their packaging requirements, offering tailored solutions and driving value through innovative product offerings.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new product offerings to present cutting-edge solutions to customers.
- Sales Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and present detailed sales proposals, product samples, and specifications to potential and existing customers.
- Contract Negotiation: Manage the negotiation and closing of contracts, including pricing, terms, and service agreements.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the internal sales, customer service, and product development teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track sales activity, forecasts, and progress against targets, providing regular updates to the management team.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the flexible packaging, pressure-sensitive adhesives, or related industries (e.g., labels, films, or tapes).
- Proven track record of generating new business and managing key accounts.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials and technologies, especially flexible and pressure-sensitive products.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to manage long sales cycles.
- Detail-oriented with a solutions-oriented, customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel regularly within the Midwest region and occasionally to other locations for client meetings, trade shows, or industry events.
- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), and other sales enablement software.
