Novaris is currently working with a growing contract manufacturing company who strive to provide the highest quality personal care, hair care and OTC products. Our client is searching for a Director of Sales. This is an integral hire for the organisation, and they require someone with a strong background & understanding in personal care contract manufacturing and with a proven ability to find, secure & convert new business. This is a hybrid role in the Tri-state area but for the right candidate it can be remote. Either way, travel is required.

Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development—a true ‘hunter’ with a solid background in personal care contract manufacturing. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying, securing, and converting new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
New Customer Acquisition:
– Identify and pursue business opportunities within beauty, skincare, haircare, and OTC
– Develop and execute strategic plans for both hunting (new business) and farming (account management).
– Lead the sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure.
– Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
Industry Insights & Market Analysis:
– Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities.
– Conduct research to identify emerging opportunities for expansion.
– Tailor sales pitches to meet specific client needs based on insights.
Sales Strategy & Planning:
– Develop comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
– Set measurable goals and track progress against them.
– Continuously refine sales tactics based on market feedback.
– Collaborate cross-functionally and lead by example within the commercial team.
Candidate Requirements:
– 15+ years in contract manufacturing, with a focus on personal care.
– Proven track record in identifying and securing new business.
– Strong success in converting sales pipelines.
– Open to sharing innovative ideas and suggestions for improvement.
– Strong relationships within the space
