Senior Vice President of Operations, Northeast U.S.

A leading DSO is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on Senior Vice President of Operations to oversee a high-growth multi-site region across the Northeast. This executive will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, scaling performance, and strengthening relationships across a geographically dispersed network of practices.

The ideal leader is a strong operator with deep experience in multi-location dental environments, a proven ability to build high-performing teams, and the skill to translate strategy into measurable execution. This role requires a balance of field presence, financial acumen, and cross-functional leadership to support sustainable growth and margin improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead regional operations across the Northeast with a focus on growth, efficiency, and execution excellence.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with doctors, practice leaders, and support teams.
  • Oversee regional leaders and ensure accountability through regular coaching, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Drive operational standardization across practices, ensuring consistent best practices in scheduling, patient access, staffing, and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Partner closely with Finance, HR, Compliance, Recruiting, Marketing, and other corporate functions to support performance and scale.
  • Evaluate and improve operational performance through KPI reporting, business reviews, and action planning.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth, new practice openings, relocations, lease renewals, and capital investments.
  • Support onboarding, transitions, and retention strategies for associate doctors and partner doctors.
  • Lead change management efforts across the region with clear communication and consistent execution.
  • Ensure operational discipline across all systems, processes, and practice-level workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in operations within healthcare or dental support environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-location operations.
  • Strong experience coaching leaders, managing performance, and building accountable teams.
  • Proven ability to improve operational efficiency, patient access, and financial performance.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
  • Experience with KPI reporting, operational planning, and change management.
