Director, Global Technical Services – Food Ingredients

Novaris Search is working with a global manufacturer and supplier of specialty ingredients for a variety of industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial applications.

They are searching for a Director, Global Technical Services

This role will lead and oversee global technical services, providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and customer support for food ingredient applications. Responsible for ensuring high standards in customer engagement, compliance, and product development across regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical teams across multiple regions and oversee coordination with regional laboratories.
  • Develop and implement global strategies supporting business objectives and market trends.
  • Facilitate collaboration and effective communication between technical and commercial teams.
  • Act as a technical resource for key customers, providing expert solutions for product formulation and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure global compliance with relevant food regulations; monitor evolving standards and provide guidance.
  • Support new product development, oversee customer-specific projects, and facilitate market-driven innovation.
  • Develop and deliver training for internal teams and external partners on product use and applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, quality, marketing, and regulatory teams to meet customer expectations and support product launches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Extensive technical and leadership experience within the food ingredient sector
  • Experience with food colorants desirable
  • Strong team management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated success in driving customer satisfaction and business growth internationally.
