Regional Sales Manager – California – Chemistry Services

A fast-growing CDMO is seeking a talented and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join their Commercial team and drive the sales of their Chemistry services across the West Coast.

*Candidates must be located in California*

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets and drive revenue growth for their chemistry services.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, leveraging your existing network and actively prospecting for new clients within the life sciences industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and other relevant organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientific, technical, and project management personnel, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, and provide valuable insights to guide business development strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new business.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, utilizing CRM systems to track leads, opportunities, and sales activities accurately.
  • Actively participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance the company’s visibility and establish yourself as a trusted industry expert.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience within the life sciences industry, preferably selling chemistry services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets, including an understanding of drug discovery, development, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a high level of initiative and a drive to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
  • Availability for travel within the assigned region as needed.
