Role

The R&D Manager will oversee the development of innovative personal care products, manage the R&D team, and ensure the successful transition of products from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in formulation chemistry, a deep understanding of the personal care market, and experience working in a contract manufacturing environment. Our client are looking to develop their R&D lab and need someone with a strong understanding of the space who can aid with SOPs, R&D stability  and implanting key processes.

• Process development, SOP implementation etc
• Product Development:
• Manage the end-to-end product development process, from concept creation to commercialization.
• Develop and formulate new personal care products, including skincare, personal care, OTC
• Ensure that all formulations meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Production, to ensure seamless product development and launch.
• Project Management:
• Oversee multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical support, and ensure their satisfaction with the product development process.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source raw materials and stay updated on new ingredients and technologies in the personal care industry.
• Regulatory & Compliance:
• Ensure all products comply with relevant regulatory standards, including FDA
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry trends to guide product development.
• Prepare and review product documentation, including technical data sheets, safety data sheets, and regulatory submissions.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
• Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, ingredients, and formulation techniques.
