Novaris Search is currently working with a personal care contract manufacturer who are looking for a plant manager. Our client are a growing contract manufacturer with blending, packaging & filling capabilities across skin care & hair care. The plant is based in Indianapolis and as the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, implementing cost-effective strategies, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in plant management (ideally 10+years manufacturing management experience), strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

• Lead day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain best practices in production processes to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Team Management:

• Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to achieve production goals.
• Collaborate with various departments, such as production, quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless workflow.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and uphold strict quality control measures to meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and consistency.

Cost Management:

• Develop and execute cost-effective strategies to optimize production expenses while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies to maintain necessary certifications and approvals.

• Customer Relationship Management:
• Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
• Address customer concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven plant management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost management.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ideally candidates will have experience within personal care/beauty and/or contract manufacturing experience
