Novaris Search is partnered with a leading Eyecare MSO who are looking for an Oculoplastics Manager as they look to expand their service capabilities across the NY & CT region.

They are seeking a passionate and driven Manager to lead the Oculoplastics team across multiple locations. The Oculoplastics Manager will be responsible for organizing the department operations and procedures to ensure efficient operations and physician productivity, and will maximize productivity through staff scheduling and proficient use of appropriate software applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an in-depth and current knowledge of oculo and facial plastics
• Interacts with physician and support staff to facilitate delivery of oculo-plastic and elective cosmetic procedures
• Educates patients on oculo-plastic and elective cosmetic procedures and follows-up on potential candidates through database management
• Acts as primary liaison with administration, facilitating administrative functions such as billing, bookkeeping, payroll, personnel functions and marketing
• Monitors staffing needs, including approval of PTO and coordination of coverage, to ensure adequate staff to meet the needs of the practice
• Monitors surgical schedule to maximize physician productivity and acts as backup to surgical secretary
• Responsible for in-service and training of staff, review staff knowledge of practice policies and procedures and makes appropriate recommendations to administration
• Serves as principal contact person for all patient issues, maintains communication with patients, observes strict patient confidentiality
• Manage a staff of 3-5

Requirements

• 3 years clinical experience – Essential
• Ophthalmic or Oculo-plastics knowledge – Essential
• Previous administrative or sales experience
• Highly organised and self-motivated
• Strong leadership qualities
• Excellent communication skills
