Director of Human Resources – Ophthalmology

Bronx, NY

Novaris Search is partnered with a leading, highly reputable Ophthalmology group with offices located across Manhattan and the boroughs who are looking to bring on a Director of Human Resources as they continue to grow.  This role is integral for the future growth of the business, and we are looking for an experienced, competent individual to take full control of HR functions.

This is a hybrid position with 2 days required on-site in Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR & internal company communications
  • Ensuring clinical and administration recruitment remains in line with company needs
  • Oversee the onboarding process for all new employees and coordinating with Payroll
  • Oversee the evaluation and administration of employee benefits whilst working with Payroll in terms of withholdings
  • Working alongside and supporting the Director of Payroll
  • Ensuring full HR compliance for all employees across multiple states
  • Evaluating current employee benefits & rewards and making recommendations to enhance in line with seniority
  • Oversee all functions with regard to employee insurance plan coverage and 401(k) plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Human Resources preferred
  • +5 years of experience HR leadership within the healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance across NY, NJ, GA & FL
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Highly organised and self-starter attitude
  • Ability to work independently
